Jason McKinney – Principal

As a commercial photography student at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, I wandered into some graphic design classes, realized the potential of the medium, and never looked back.

My first design position was in multimedia creating CD-ROM titles at Communication Design in Tempe, Arizona. As a multimedia designer, I thrived on leveraging the strengths of different disciplines like animation, video and graphic design, to create educational media.

CD-ROMs were eventually replaced by the internet and I transitioned into web design. I began working for a large eCommerce company, Market Live, where I provided design solutions for brands like General Motors, Limited Too and Armani Exchange. As these stories go, I eventually left Market Live to start a company with two other partners and Bloom was born.

When not at Bloom, I try to enjoy the best that the bay area has to offer like mountain biking, snowboarding and relaxing with my family in SF.

Sean Dolinsky – Principal

Looking back, design has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Granted the design was a bit more rudimentary, but nonetheless I have been creating since my mom gave me my first box of crayons.

Throughout the years I have studied fine art, print making, and my first love photography which have all influenced my design aesthetic. While studying design, I became fascinated with print design, and after school worked my way up the ranks at different publications before moving into corporate and interactive design.

Outside of work, I can be found spending time with my wife and two dogs, attending many live music shows and trying not to get injured on the mountain bike trails of Marin and Sonoma Counties.
